First up in the 2017 roster is Tha Night Hawks. This hip-hop trio is composed of 3 powerful artists whose album packs a heavy dose of lyricism layered with nuances of smooth old school melodies. And by "heavy", I mean heavy artillery with absolutely no holds bars. The trio consists of Dj Wizdom, Vinny Knucks and Charles Herron.

Their latest release is titled "Silent Night" but don't let that fool you these songs are far from any holiday lullaby. Originally released the day after Christmas, this EP is jam packed with lyrics full of fire that tell a tale of cold winters and cold lifestyles- some that end up on cold concrete. If you are a fan of the late Gangstar's storytelling skills you will definitely appreciate the lyrical journey that Tha Night Hawks deliver. Right from the beginning track, the beat drops and the real life (hard life) scenarios smack you in the face like a winter storm. But Tha Night Hawks take a few twists and turns through out to warm things up with a few sizzling party tracks. Although this album is far from a snap your fingers and twerk anthem, it leaves you nodding your head and wanting more. The Night Hawks keep your attention the whole album because each song never really ends. The transitions form track to track are so fast and smooth its like a rabid rabbit energizer bunny hopping down a 8mile road. - It just on going and their rhymes keep on flowing! These guys are real life space travelers riding a spaceship made of vinyl influences. Let's not forget the classic original MCees who came up from the 80's and 90's the true influencers of what we call hip-hop today, The Run DMC's, EPMD's and Kool Mo Dee's of a era where Vinyl ruled. Well from the Tha Night Hawks birds eye view, Vinyl is still ruler. Stay tuned as we unveil more news on their movement very soon. In the meantime take a listen for yourself below.
